Usually on foot or by air. However, in very urban areas, there are accommodations for the flightless members of the species in the form of trams, bikes, and hover carts. For travel between islands, it's usually considered a long hard trip and is usually done by flight. The large, main islands that are currently a part of the Union and ruled by the council, have Aerial Lifts (cable cars) running between them on a schedule for cumiculi to conveniently sit and ride in. The flightless Cumiculi tend to hitch rides with travelling services in the form of very strong bird types, if traveling to a smaller island or when the aerial lifts aren't running.

According to common knowledge, they have explored and colonized nearly every island on the outer rim on their atmosphere and those islands are the only place that Cumiculi reside. However, as they are forced ever downward, they may find strong evidence to the contrary. There is a ban by the Union Council's Elder on going lower than a certain altitude currently, so it's illegal to visit lower or even mid-level islands.
Q: Cumiculi can do magic, right? What kind?
Yes, it is crucial to Cumiculus society! They can practice everything from buffing to weather magic to necromancy, though it's rare for a Cumiculus to practice more than two types. Anything to do with controlling or manipulating the living, transfiguring or experimenting on the body other than approved medical magic, or anything that would instantly kill another is illegal to teach in school and those who do manage to teach themselves these arts and are caught will be ostracized.

The same way humans do; with their feet! This is the generally accepted way. Or they can dip down into the bowl, but this is seen as childish and a bit rude if you're an adult. If they practice magic, they could always levitate their utensils, and artificers often make self-serving utensils as well. They can make it!

Because of the centuries spent isolated from each other, some developed plantigrade legs and others have digitigrade. In other words, it's up to you which one your Cumiculus has! Digitigrade are most common, and shown in the species guides.

For now it's a closed universe. Aven is a huge planet with a lot of other creatures and one other main species (so far). Considering that the main society of cumiculi haven't colonized most of their own world yet... they definitely don't explore outside the planet. Since the group and species is so young, we'll be spending a long time exploring and revealing Aven itself as the main story events progress. The other (predator) species will be uncovered eventually (and be playable/ownable) and there's going to be a lot to do with them, especially as we slowly make our way down to the core of Aven. It's really ridiculous how little of Aven has been colonized by our main society of cumiculi so there'll be a lot going on and chances to even design creatures for Aven in contests!
We may open the universe down the road (it might make sense for aliens to visit Aven eventually) and it would definitely begin with a big event about it, but that wouldn't be for a good while tbh. We want to keep things pretty structured and moving forward slowly but surely and in a way that make sense~
